i went to see la laque and the parlor scouts at the knitting factory tonite.
Friday night I went to see After Ashley at the Vineyard theatre cause Keiran Culkin rocks my world. anyway, my seat happen be right next to Paul Dano. The funny thing is I took one look at him and immediately thought "shit I must have gone to high school with this kid or somethin" it took me a while to figure out why he looked so goddamn familiar. He had his glasses and shaggy hair and really in person he looks exactly as he does in The Girl Next Door and in Taking Lives. |

I was walking down broome street today and as i reached the corner of w. broadway and broome, I saw a familiar face walk around the corner - and I'm thinking that's either Angelina Jolie, or that woman is the spitting image of her. After she passes im like "That really looked like Angelina", my dad's like "yeah it did look like her, but i dont htink it's her. I think she's taller than that," I'm like ehhhh ok, yeah, probably not her, angelina does seem like she'd be taller than that plus- she'd have maddox with her. We walk into Sotheby's and are signing in, and I'm still going on about it..."I really really think it was her. I mean the lips, the eyes, the hair, it totally looked like her..." The guy at the front desk is like, "who? angelina jolie?" I'm like YEAHHH how did you know? He's like "yeah she just walked by. i see her all the time around this area." Now it fucking bums me out cause there's no actor or actress I admire more than Angelina Jolie, and I fucking missed my chance..
Soooo the bad news is - i didn't get to meet her. But the good news is - she lives 4 blocks away from where i'm moving. So next time i see her i'll have my camera on me.

What smoker hasn't felt the surge of panic at the thought of lung cancer and immediately lighted up to beat the panic down? (It's cold war logic: we're afraid of nuclear weapons, so lets build even more of them.) Death is a severing of the connection between self and world, and, since the self cant imagine not existing, perhaps what's really scary about the prospect of dying is not the extinguishment of my consciousness but the extinguishment of the world. The fear of a global nuclear holocaust was thus functionally identical to my private fear of death. And the potential deadliness of cigarettes was comforting because it allowed me, in effect, to become familiar with apocalypse, to acquaint myself with the contours of its terrors, to make the worlds potential death less strange and so a little less threatening. Time stops for the duation of a cigarette: when youre smoking, your actuely present to yourself; you step outside the unconcious forward rush of life.
To live with uncontaimenated lungs and an unracing heart is a pleasure that I hope someday soon to prefer to the pleasure of a cigarette. |

What a great night!! The show was completely sold out, and we only had 2 tix. So Ashley and I go ahead in and Tara is hanging out in the redroom. She soon spots Jenny taking a trip to the brooom and asks to get a pic with her, and then tells her shes really wants to see the show and dosent have a ticket, so jenny personally escorts Tara to the front and has her name put on the guest list!!! Tara was at the top of Jenny's guest list - i still cant fucking believe it!

 My fall Movies 101 class at NYU --Billy Crudup and Claire Danes stop by to talk about Stage Beauty
After much contemplation what to do with myself this spring, i've come to a decision. I can't apply to Tisch until the fall, and I was planning to study abroad in prague. That was until i found out my parents are investing in an apartment in the financial district. new york seems more appealing in the meantime, until i can transfer to tisch. so i'm going to take acting, directing, and screenwriting at Lee Strasberg. After this semester I am through with AU. I know alot of people arent going to be happy with my decision. My grandfather only pays for my education as long as it is at an accredited university. everyone is trying to advise me not to go since they think Lee Strasberg is a bullshit school - But I have to get out of AU, the film classes are fucking BULLSHIT!!! The classes are much more centered towards television and media rather than narrative storytelling. Yesterday, in my film production 2 class, my professor took the majority of class time to share his passionate hate for bush with us. i dont give a flying fuck what you think about bush, im here for film, not BUSH!! |

Today I hung out at the set of Synergy with Scarlett Johansson! I still don't beleive it happened, it all seems like a dream.
You know those dreams that are so awesome and perfect, when you wake up you're fucking pissed it's a dream, you wish it were real, then you start to wish you hadn't woken up and WHISH YOU COULD FALL BACK ASLEEP AND INTO THAT DREAM AGAIN?! That's the feeling I have, except I'm not waking up... today was so great.  |

After much exertion I finally completed my documentary on Walter. Monday I presented it, and received a VERY unacceptable reaction from my professor. She didn’t even give it a fucking chance! As Walter starts - “I go to Amsterdam smoke some joints, buy some hashies and get back on the plane and go to Scotland..” SHE STARTED FREAKING OUT, “What is this?! Oh my god!”
I tried to get her to calm down and to shut the fuck up so she could actually watch the fucking thing, but she just kept on making noises. These weird kinda frustrated and disappointed noises. She watched about 5 minutes of it, and then told me to leave the DVD with her, that she would contact me when I should pick it up. I must admit the documentary is quite vulgar and outlandish, I can understand how one may find it somewhat offensive. But she completely overreacted. Film is about freedom and expression. Walter thinks I’m going to get kicked out of AU. That would be hilarious. Fuck skolliwoll
Exams = completemundo! NO MORE AU!!!! eat shit and suck rabbits
Only a week and a half until I go to New York!! CBGB’s is directly nextdoor, and I’m OH SOOOO close to Tribeca and SoHo.
So my plan for the rest of this wonderful Wednesday afternoon: going with Tara to her ther-RAPIST appointment, then off to the ol’ poooochie wooochies house.
